ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे. सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम्. उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्. मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात् ॥. Om Try-Ambakam Yajaamahe. Sugandhim Pusstti-Vardhanam. Urvaarukam-Iva Bandhanaan. Mrtyor-Mukssiiya Maa- mrtaat ||. The great mantra dedicated to Shiva as Mrityunjaya is found in the Rig Veda. It is called the Maha Mrityunjaya mantra, the Great Death-Conquering mantra.
