In parts of Cameroon where the population is predominantly Bamileke, dates in local languages are based on a week of 8 days which punctuate certain activities like the market days and the prohibitions of manifestations. To plan an activity on a Western calendar date, it is then necessary to know what the corresponding day of the local calendar will be.
