Bilingual Study: Vietnamese is an Austroasiatic language spoken by about 82 million people mainly in Vietnam. Thai is a member of the Tai group of the Tai–Kadai language family. Over half of the words in Thai are borrowed from Pali, Sanskrit and Old Khmer. They are both tonal languages. Due to the former colony of France, the alphabets is romanized. It is easier to read.
